Description

Humic acid and fulvic acid come from deposits of humate found throughout the world. These deposits formed over thousands or even millions of years ago. Time and pressure have turned them into rock. Each deposit has its own unique characteristics depending on the various factors that occurred during its formation. These factors include but are not limited to the types of plants that died, the prevailing temperature, the climate, and the minerals present in the soil at the time, to name a few. This is what makes humic acid and fulvic acid so unique, no two samples are the same based on these varying factors.

In an effort to make a more uniform and all-encompassing product, Premium Select Naturals has found a source of humic and fulvic acids that is obtained from four distinct regions and then combined to make a product that possesses the different properties of each different humate deposit. Most humic and fulvic acids come from only one deposit and are therefore limited to the properties present in that deposit alone. Our blended source brings all these various regions together and blends them into one product. These regions are forest, plains, desert, and tropics. In essence, our product is like getting the benefits and properties of four different humic and fulvic acids rather than just one.

Furthermore, Premium Select Naturals Humic/Fulvic Minerals is a complex humic acid product encompassing an active microbial population, trace minerals, and nutrient components. The supplier of the humic and fulvic acids utilized metagenomic analysis to extract genetic material samples then sequenced and analyzed the samples, yielding comprehensive insights into the microbial composition of the samples. The analysis revealed Bacillus Subtilis is the predominant species in PSN Humic/Fulvic Minerals, capable of inducing fluctuations in the aerobic count.

The presence of beneficial aerobic bacteria is a plausible outcome of manufacturing materials from humates. Humic products with diminished bacterial concentrations have likely undergone sterilization or extensive synthetic treatment to mitigate potential activity counts while inadvertently eliminating beneficial biological components essential for human health. Our supplier does not do this and allows the product to remain in its natural state – good bacteria, minerals, and all other nutrients.

A mild earthy smell or even a sulfur like smell may be caused by the naturally occurring microbes feeding on the decomposed organic matter present in the form of carbon. This is very normal. These smells may also come and go depending on the activity of these microbes. These natural microbes are good bacteria, such as the above-mentioned Bacillus Subtilis, that can help promote gut health and suppress viruses. Any smell or lack thereof may also depend on the customer and their sensitivities at the time. Every batch undergoes documented routine safety testing under GMP guidelines at least twice, before and after bottling, to ensure safety from harmful microbes.

A metallic taste may occur to some customers based on the minerals found in the fulvic acid. All batches are third party tested for heavy metals and meet or exceed current safety guidelines.
